Nord C1 Combo OrganEarthy and vivid organ sounds have remained popular through the decades of pop and rock. Until now these sounds were only found in bulky and heavy instruments. I introduce the Nord C1 combo Organ. All the soul and classic qualities of the good old days that you can take with you.
Three in one
The twin manual Nord C1 organ comprises of three different vintage organs. A classic tonewheel, Vox continental and Farfisa Compact Deluxe. Carefully modeled on the vintage originals, the Nord C1 also incorporates the classic and famous tube style overdrive, rotary speaker emulation and has the effects required for the ultimate in organ performance. To top off the C1 there is also a dedicated bass section for input of MIDI bass pedals.
Faithful Organ Re-creation
Nord have spent many moons developing the sampling and and real-time DSP model which interacts with the way the original tonewheel sounded when played in in different ways. The C1 offers the ultimate faithful re-creation of the three classic organs from the way notes triggered o the way harmonics interact. The result is simple - an amazing organ sound!
The unique tonewheel generator deisgn is at the heart of the C1 vintage organ sound. This is where the basic sound is created by 91 spinning discs and magnetic coils. Nord have modeled all the generators giving a full polyphony of 147 notes!
The sound of the C1 organ is simply un matched in its detail. Nord have gone to the extremes of sound creation. Modeling virtually all the 1200 busbar switches simulating how every switch bounces at the start of a note for the initial and well known 'click' sound to chorus and vibrato which are as aliv as the tonewheel itself. There is no match for the Nord C1 organ tone. Every nuance and detail has been specially captured providing you with a unique instight to the real world originals and what the organ is truly all about.
Digital Drawbars
The C1 has 9 upper and 9 lower digital drawbars which are displayed using LED's. These are excellent for seeing on stage or in bad light when giging. There are also 2 drawbars for bass pedals. The general difficulty of drawbars is changing them in an instant and being able to remember your drawbar settings but because th Nord C1 uses electronic LED displays, the memory function can instantly recall any of your stored settings or you can simply change them on the go with the responsive up and down drawbar buttons.
Hands on Control
As well as drawbars it is important that any organ or live musician has the control required from the originals. Rotary speed control, percusive switching and effects through to more modern EQ and memory recall. All can be selected, stored and changed at the touch of a button. This hands on control is a must for the professional player.
