Yamaha FG700MS Acoustic Guitar
The Yamaha FG700MS acoustic guitar comes complete with Nato back and sides, new pearloid headstock logo, smaller position markers, tortoise pickguard and new bridge design.
The FG series features include solid Spruce tops, die-cast Chrome hardware and a unique, non-scalloped X-bracing. An inverted L-block, originally used on the more expensive Yamaha LL6, creates a tighter connection between the body and the neck, and so provides a deeper, fuller low end. A hand fitted dovetail neck joint provides the strongest joint available, and creates the best sound. The Yamaha FG700MS has a matt natural finish, allowing maximum resonance and least interference with the tonewoods.
The rosewood bridge is compensated for intonation at the second string, and its larger size transfers more string vibration to the solid spruce top. Thinner laminated back and sides (Nato/Meranti/Nato) increase resonance, volume and allow for greater frequency response. Another great feature of the FG700MS is in the slimmer neck, maximising player comfort.
