Like other new DW models, the DW7’s design has been refined for optimum performance and tone. The high-quality solid Engelmann spruce top - known for its warm, mature overtones - carries a new bracing pattern for a fatter fundamental sound, and is partnered by thinner rosewood back and sides and a light-coat part-UV-cured lacquer to achieve a fast, free-breathing response.
For enhanced playability, the DW7’s nato neck features a shallower profile than previous models, while great sounds are matched by attractive cosmetics including rose celluloid body binding and gold tuners on a black-polished headstock.
