Black nickel is more than just a colour. The sax is made from regular brass, then black nickel plated. This thin layer of nickel produces it's own resonance giving greater clarity to the sound. By comparison, solid black lacquer has a dampening effect on the vibrations enhancing a warmer, darker tone.

As standard the trevor james range also includes a 5 years warranty on the finish of all sax products. Conditions do apply as the saxophone must have been cared for properly during this time.
