The Pinstripe clears use a double pile mylar around the circumfrance of the skin which acts as a damper. This cuts down resonance and sustain to offer up a thicker tone excellent for the fat R&B and rock sounds. It is more akin to the 80s sound.

 

If you want a fatter and slappier sound then these are highly recommended. Pinstripe skins are renowned throught the world for a reason!
