Stage Sound QualitySeparating itself from the competition the Nord Stage 88 offers a profound sound quality matched by no one. Inside the Stage 88 are 3 modules. Piano, drawbar organ and synth. These modules can all be split or layered all at once to create any set-up for your performance. Each module has its own features and variations of sounds.
The Piano section of the Nord Stage is stunning. Samples taken from Yamaha and some big names in the piano market make for a live piano sound which offers authentic string resonance and acoustic qualities. There are Grand, upright, Electric grand, E. pianos and Wurli pianos to suit any taste. Each carefully sampled and tailored for the finest sound possible. The Nord stage 88 also offers huge versatility by allowing the user to download and use new sample libraries of sounds which can be downloaded from the offical Nord website.
The organ section of the Nord Stage is simply amazing. 3 different classic organs have been used to create the most accurate and pleasing tonewheel organ. Nord have include everything in the organ section such as:
- True organ architecture based on digital models of 91 tonewheels thus offering natural warmth and tone
- Simulation of the enrgy robbing that occurs on tonewheels resulting in the usual compressed organ sound
- Authentic tuning of the tone wheels according to original tonewheel design.
The Synth section of the Nord Stage 88 houses a powerful, big sound, hands on synth section. The synth system uses classic analogue synthesis using waveform modulations such as dual saw, pulse wave and hard sync. As well as this the Nord stage uses Three-operator FM synthesis and Wavetable synthesis with 32 waveforms. The result is stunning. A synth with a huge osund, resonant filters, amp envelope, modulation, LFO and 2 band EQ. Each bank can be editied so Nord have offered 100 spaces for you to store your favourite patches.
Nord Control - Real-time control gone further
As well as stunning sounds the Nord Stage becomes a giggers best friend by offering hands-on instant control you can not get from any other product. A nice array of knobs and controllers give instant access to an eq, multi effects processors, instant Aftertouch assignment, volume/ balances of section, synth control, external device control, rotary speaker control, drawbars and more.
