Nord Stage 2 Compact

The latest piano to Nord's famous range of pianos is the Nord Stage 2 compact. The new technology allows users to load in sounds from the Nord sample library, expanding the voice selection by a huge amount of possible voices. On top of that is the addition of an arpeggiator, USB MIDI with new MIDI functionality, new program bank selection and more. Without a doubt the Nord Stage 2 Compact is Nord's most powerful combination of features ever in one instrument.

The Stage 2 compact houses 3 main voice sections - Piano, Organ, and Synth section. Each can run through any of the 3 effects processors and master reverb and compressor section.

ORGAN - The Organ section is derived from the Nord C2 organ with 3 main organ types to select from combined with Rotary speaker, drive and drawbar control. It offers an incredible emulation of classic organs for those wanting a great organ sound for the stage.

PIANO - Offering a world class piano sample the Nord Stage 2 compact comes with a great selection of pianos from the Nord piano library. Features include intelligent String Resonance that reproduces the sound of the piano strings resonating at their fundamental or harmonic frequencies when other strings are played, and compatibility with the optional Nord Triple Pedal that adds Dynamic Pedal Noise – the result is breathtaking realism and an unsurpassed expressiveness. There is also a new piano release function which adds a little extra release time for those wanting to play more of a legato style.

SYNTH - Capable of classic analogue synthesis, three operator FM synthesis, Wavetable synthesis and now, compatibility with the Nord Sample Library. The sample library is vast and with the Nord Sound Manager software you can make your own samples ready to play in the Stage 2 compact. The added arpeggiator makes great use of the on-board synth sounds, adding a new dimension never before seen on a Nord Stage piano.
