Nord Electro 2 61 Note KeyboardNord's goal in creating the Electro 2 was to create an instrument that emulated the best electromechanical keyboard instrument and make it compact and lightweight. May I introduce the Nord Electro 2 61 key.
The Perfect Fit
The Nord Electro 2 is available in 3 sizes. There is a 61 notes, 73 note and a rack version available. The Electro2 73 is the choice of piano players who wish to have a slightly longer range of notes where the Electro 2 61 is for the' musician on the go'. Weighing in at only 7.8Kg the 61 key version offers all the top class sound quality of the 73 note without the extra bulk. The keys are the same on both version of the Electro 2. Both versions use a waterfall design keyboard so if you like to slide along the keys then you can without taking your skin off!
Quality Nord Sound Source
There are 2 sections on the Electro 2. The Piano and the drawbar organ. Though only 2 sound sections are supplied, Nord have created one of the ultimate if not the best, functional use of these sounds today. From Stevie Wonder's clav sound to Supertramp's biting and recognized electric piano sound in the "Logical Song", or even the Organ from the Procul Harum classic "Whiter Shade Of Pale", Nord have created a product that has something in common with all of these classic hits. The Electro 2.
The Organ section of the Electro 2 has been carefully modeled from a digital simulation of the mechanical design of the classic tone wheel. As well as specially sampled sounds the Electro 2 also faithfully simulates the energy robbing from the tone wheels resulting in the classic compressed organ tone.
Of course the piano is no different. Comprising of carefully sampled electric pianos - E.piano Mark 1, E. Piano Mark 1 Suitcase, Wurlitzer 200A, Mega clavinet D6 and a custom electric grand G. There is also a Malmsjoe Grand Piano rounding off the ultimate line up of pianos for live stage use. For the aura and authenticity the Nord Electro 2 is the only choice.
Electro 2 Effects Section
The powerful yet simple sound source is coupled with a matching effects section. Incredible vintage effects such as vintage trem, meaty chorus effects or swirling phasers are all supplied on the Electro 2. The Rotary speaker emulation that brings much life and depth to the classic organ sound can also be used in conjunction with the other sounds such as electric piano for a classic combination. An equializer has also been added to further shape the sound to your taste. The Nord Electro 2 offers something other can not. A superb tonal depth and quality, amazing effects and all very simple to use and ready at an instant for live use.

drawbars of Electro 2 are represented by up/down buttons and LED bar
graphs instead of the ordinary mechanical drawbars. This gives you a
big advantage: when you change presets, the correct drawbar settings
are shown immediately by the LEDs.
