The Patriot Custom looks very similar to the Gibson/Epiphone Les Paul guitars but offers an amazing collection of goodies. This guitar offers some serious sound as well as looks.
Starting with the hand selected Mahogany body with extra deep carved flame maple top which has a very tightly fitted set neck offering maximum sustain and performance. Fitted into this georgeous body is a set of top class Rockfield SWC pickups. The SWC pickups offer a very high output level for a sound with edge yet have a full deep bodied sound for total sound control and quality. The Pickups are directly mounted onto the body of the guitar to offer the full impact of sound. Humbuckers are normally mounted onto plastic and suspended but these are mounted directly to the mahogany body!
The Rockfield Humbuckers are coil tapped as well! This means the Patriot Custom can cover pretty much any sound you want from fat rich sounds to leading rock riffs are acheived without fuss. To hold the tuning on this beast of a guitar, Michael Kelly have chucked in Grover tuners to offer real tune holding and solid control of tuning. There are also recessed control knobs for easy access without getting in the way of your playing. The Michael Kelly Patriot Custom is also available in 4 colours which include Cherry Sunburst, Amber, Walnut and Black fade.
