Korg PA588

At last! Korg have produced a quality portable piano arranger to fill a gap in the market. The new PA588 offers technology based on the superb PA500. However it also has the renowned and amazing piano sound derived from the PA800.

It has been a long time since anyone has produced a portable piano that works in the home as well as gigging with backing styles and full keyboard features. Now, Korg have stepped in and this piano looks like it will be very popular!

Get Real

The piano sound has come first and foremost. Painstakingly sampled from a world class grand piano, the PA588 offers a sound true to the real instrument. String resonance and damper pedal noise with multi-level sampling help to create a stunning piano that oyu would normally pay a lot more money for!

Keyboard Functionality

The PA588 offers the same functionality as the superb PA500 keyboard. This means full backing styles, amazing array of sounds, full 16 track sequencing and more! The backing styles used on the Korg, utilize the EDS technology to create the most realistic and acoustic backing band quality. A huge selection of 320 styles created from professional artists around the world will help inspire the artist in you. Even though the full keyboard functionality is to hand, the 'Play Piano' button instantly takes you back to playing piano regardless of what you are doing.

Touch Screen Operation

The PA588 uses the famous touch screen interface of the PA500. The touch screen interface allows instant user access to all the features in the piano from style and sound selection through to in-depth editing and recording. This is one portable piano that has it all!

Sequencing Power

Containing 16 tracks of 55,000 note capacity recording, the PA588 is pretty tough to beat. Real-time recording, step recording, backing recording or whatever your needs the Korg piano has it all. It has huge editing control as well for those who want to go indepth as editing a single note! Using the DJ style crossfader, the twin sequencer system can be playing a song back whilst getting another prepared so oyu can fade across at the end of a song or continuous playback!

Sound Design

Housing a complete 88 note real weighted hammer action, portable design casing, tilted screen, beautiful silver case and one amazing sound source, the Korg PA588 is truly designed for house or gigging use. Weighing in at 30.5kg it is slihtly heavier than some competing models but offers technology far beyond its competitors. Case can be purchased to make this a more suitable transportable product. It also has dedicated line out for connection to amplification for stage use as well as its own in-built 30w speaker system.
