Fender Stratacoustic
The Fender Stratacoustic is a hugely popular hybrid instrument that integrates traditional guitar manufacturing with new raw materials to produce a slim bodied lightweight electro acoustic instrument. The body of the instrument bears a passing resemblance to the body of a Fender Stratocaster and has a laminated spruce top. The C-shaped neck is also typically Strat-esque, even down to the recognisable headstock. However this is where the similarities end, as the back and sides of the Stratacoustic are moulded from fibreglass to give a resilient, tough and lightweight feel to the instrument.
The 3” deep slim body has a rosewood compensated bridge, whilst the strings are held in place via 6 standard acoustic guitar bridge pins. The oval shaped sound hole has a simple white rosette around the edge that matches the bodies edge binding. A 21 fret maple neck, featuring a rosewood fret board with dot position markers leads to the familiar curved Fender stratocaster headstock, complete with vintage style chrome machine heads and string trees.
Amplified sound comes courtesy of the Fishman Pre-amp and provides volume, bass middle and treble control along with a low battery indicator light and a built in tuner, making the Fender Standard Stratacoustic the perfect guitar for anyone who wants the onstage sound of an acoustic guitar with the less bulky feel and look of an electric.
The Fender Stratacoustic has a cool Stratocaster guitar body, headstock design and C-shaped neck perfect for electric players looking for a versatile acoustic instrument. Other features include a maple neck and Black finish.
