Mockingbird Pro X
New for 2010 BC Rich have created a truly stunning mockingbird by which standards have been set.
Finished in a stunning satin shadow black with an archtop, gold plated hardware, Grover tuners and powerful EMG active pickups this guitar looks as sinister as it sounds. Of course if that is not enough BC Rich have placed beautiful gold Floyd Rose trem on the solid mahogany body with 1/2inch maple cap for the ultimate finish to a truly stunning guitar.
EMG Pickups
The Mockingbird Pro X uses EMG 81 and EMG 60 pickups. The EMG 60 features close aperture coils loaded with ceramic magnets. The ceramic magnets produce a very high output perfect for rhythm, lead, powerful crunch and clean sounds. Combined with the EMG81 which is primarily designed at the lead guitarist with high output the BC Rich Mockingbird Pro X is sure cut through on stage in any situation.
Neck Through Construction
A revolutionary BC Rich design the neck through (NT) uses a single piece of wood for the neck that runs straight through to the back of the guitar body. This design allows the pickups to be mounted directly ino the same piece of wood as the neck so the sound produced is quite simply as rich as possible. All the vibrations are passed through the neck wood and picked up by the pickups along with the string sound for the ultimate in tonal response.
