The Alesis IO2 Express is a fully featured audio interface at a budget price. Equipped with many professional features it is the perfect way to record sound into your computer in the studio or even on the move.

Inputs/ Outputs

Alesis have kitted the IO2 Express with a great set of in/out connections. At the input stage are 2 channels including XLR balanced mic input (with phantom power), lo-z guitar input and 1/4 balanced line input. To compliment the input stage, Alesis have fitted a balanced main outputs and balanced headphones out. MIDI in/Out has also been added as a perfect bonus for those wanting to connect controller keyboards and MIDI devices in their DAW. Both channel inputs have a Tricolour LED level indicator to make sure you are getting the best signal level before recording.

24 bit recording

The IO2 Express is capable of superior quality 24bit recording. The use of 24Bit ensures that as you play around with your audio for preparing your final production, you can be sure you have maintained a quality that is far beyond that of a standard CD quality. Working with 24bit means your final songs will be as good as they can possibly be without sound deterioration.

USB Power

The USB connector transfers audio, power and MIDI data down a single cable. No power supply cable is needed when using the IO2 Express. Simply plug in the supplied USB cable and off you go. For efficiency, the IO2 express has been designed to drain as little power as is possible to save your laptop battery when your on the move.

Complete Package

The IO2 Express comes as a complete package ready to use. Included with the interface is a USB cable along with Steinberg Cubase LE recording software. So no matter if you have any recording software already, you will have when you get your IO2 and load up the powerful Cubase LE.
